No flights landed at or had taken off from Thiruvananthapuram Airport on 28/10/2017, Saturday from 4pm to 9pm !

*Reason :*

Once in Six months Lord Sri Ananthapadmanaba Swamy used to come out of His temple along with Sri Narasimma, Sri Krishna and with some other temple deities to take a holy dip in Shankumukham Beach.

So He used to pass through the Thiruvananthapuram Airport.

After taking holy bath with devotees, He used to return through the same Runway.

Till that time all the flights will be cancelled from Thiruvananthapuram Domestic and international airport !

*When :*

During Aippasi (Oct - Nov) & Panguni (Mar - Apr ).

So once in six months and twice in a year it happens.

*Wonder :*

In the whole world Thiruvananthapuram Airport is the one and only the airport which has been closing for Lord's procession !

In the whole world Lord Ananthapadmanaba Swamy is the only one Deity passing through the runway of an Airport.

Lord Ananthapadmanaba Swamy used to take a rest in a granite Mandapa inside the airport premises.

This once again proving that Kerala is "God's own country
