கிரிவலம் செல்ல விரும்பும் பக்தர்கள் முதலில் திருவண்ணாமலையின் காவல் தெய்வமான பூத நாராயணன் சுவாமியை  வணங்கி அவரின் அனுமதி பெற்ற பின்னர் தான் கிரிவலம் துவங்க வேண்டும் என்பது ஐதீகம். போதிய இடவசதி இல்லாத காரணத்தால் குறைவான எண்ணிக்கையிலான பக்தர்கள் மட்டுமே கோவில் வளாகத்தில் தரிசனம் செய்ய முடியும்.மற்றவர்கள் சாலையில் நின்று  தரிசனம் செய்ய காத்திருக்க  வேண்டியுள்ளது

Kamsa, maternal uncle of Lord Krishna used many tactics to kill
Lord Krishna as he was destined to be killed by the Lord.  But he
failed and could not go even near the child.  He deputed demon
woman Boodhana for the purpose.  She came to Lord-Child
Krishna in the guise of a woman of enticing beauty.  She played
with the child lord and breast fed Him.  Knowing her mission,
Lord also pretended as if accepting her feeding but simply
squeezed her life while feeding.  Boodha is another name for
demons.  Hence, He is named Boodhanarayana.  A devotee
built a temple to Lord Krishna with this design.  But
unfortunately, the temple disappeared in the days that followed.
After long years, Lord appeared in the dream of a devotee and
told him that he was under the sand.  The devotee recovered
the idol and raised this temple.

Greatness Of Temple:
Lord Vishnu graces in the name of Boodhanarayana in two
places, at Surulimalai in Theni district and here in this temple.
Though the Lord is a Balaka-child, He looks gigantic as one
taking out the life of demon woman Bhoodana who came to
breast feed the Lord with an intention to kill Him.  She failed in
her pretensions.
The Lord is in a sitting form holding His conch in the right hand
and showing the left as abhayahastha.  Tirumanjanam is
performed each morning.  People pray to the Lord with sugar
candy, sweet pudding seeking a child with all wisdom.
It should be noted that demons are nowhere but in our mind
itself in the form of jealousy, anger, passion, lust etc.  Both men
and women are vulnerable to such traits.  These qualities are
personified as demons in our scriptures destroyed by God.
Hence, a total surrender at the feet of the Lord helps us to
conquer these evils.  Here the story of Boodhana and her
destruction by the Lord help to destroy the demon in our own
self and cultivate noble qualities, mental and physical health.
The temple is on the Girivalam route of Lord Arunachaleswara
in Tiruvannamalai.  Devotees begin the Girivalam – going
around the mount- here and end the worship here.  They get the
theertha from the shrine and spill it at the entrance, thus
offering the benefit of worship to Lord Himself.
Lord graces darshan sitting on Sri Garuda.  On the last Saturday
of Purattasi month (September-October) one bag of rice is
cooked and spread before the shrine and offer it as Prasad to
devotees.  As the Lord is too big in size, the quantity of rice also
is big.  On Krishna Jayanthi day-birth day of Lord Krishna,
special Tirumanjanam is performed and also on Ekadasi,
Tiruvonam star days and full moon days.  Devotees offer Tulsi
garlands to Chakkarathalwar on Wednesdays with Sweet

கிருஷ்ணரின் தாய்மாமன் கம்சன், பல தந்திரங்களைப் பயன்படுத்தி கிருஷ்ணரைக் கொன்றார். ஏனெனில் அவர் பகவானால் கொல்லப்படுவார். ஆனால் அவர் தோல்வியடைந்து குழந்தையின் அருகில் கூட செல்ல முடியவில்லை. இதற்காக அவர் பூதனா என்ற அரக்கியை நியமித்தார். அவள் ஒரு அழகான பெண்ணின் வேடத்தில் கிருஷ்ணரிடம் வந்தாள். அவள் குழந்தையுடன் விளையாடி அவருக்கு தாய்ப்பால் கொடுத்தாள். அவளுடைய நோக்கத்தை அறிந்த இறைவன், அவளுடைய உணவை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வது போல் நடித்தார், ஆனால் உணவளிக்கும் போது அவளுடைய உயிரை வெறுமனே பிழிந்தார். பூதம் என்பது பேய்களின் மற்றொரு பெயர். எனவே, அவருக்கு பூதநாராயணன் என்று பெயர். ஒரு பக்தர் இந்த வடிவமைப்பில் கிருஷ்ணருக்கு ஒரு கோவிலைக் கட்டினார். ஆனால் துரதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக, அடுத்தடுத்த நாட்களில் கோயில் மறைந்துவிட்டது.

நீண்ட ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு, ஒரு பக்தரின் கனவில் இறைவன் தோன்றி, அவர் மணலுக்கு அடியில் இருப்பதாகக் கூறினார். பக்தர் சிலையை மீட்டு இந்தக் கோவிலை எழுப்பினார்.

கோயிலின் மகத்துவம்:

தேனி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள சுருளிமலையிலும், இந்த கோயிலிலும், பூதநாராயணர் என்ற பெயரில் விஷ்ணு இரண்டு இடங்களில் அருள்பாலிக்கிறார்.

இறைவன் ஒரு பாலகக் குழந்தையாக இருந்தாலும், இறைவனைக் கொல்லும் நோக்கத்துடன் அவருக்கு தாய்ப்பால் கொடுக்க வந்த அசுரப் பெண் பூதணையின் உயிரை எடுப்பது போல் அவர் பிரமாண்டமாகத் தெரிகிறார். அவள் தன் பாசாங்குகளில் தோல்வியடைந்தாள்.

இறைவன் வலது கையில் சங்கு ஏந்தி, இடது கையில் அபயஹஸ்தத்தைக் காட்டி அமர்ந்த நிலையில் இருக்கிறார். திருமஞ்சனம் தினமும் காலையில் செய்யப்படுகிறது. மக்கள் சர்க்கரை, மிட்டாய், இனிப்புப் பண்டங்களுடன் இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்கிறார்கள்.

பேய்கள் நம் மனதில்தான் உள்ளன, அவை எல்லா ஞானத்துடனும் ஒரு குழந்தையைத் தேடி வருகின்றன என்பதை கவனத்தில் கொள்ள வேண்டும். ஆண்களும் பெண்களும் இத்தகைய குணங்களுக்கு ஆளாகிறார்கள். கடவுளால் அழிக்கப்பட்ட நமது வேதங்களில் இந்த குணங்கள் பேய்களாக உருவகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன.

எனவே, இறைவனின் பாதங்களில் முழுமையான சரணடைதல் இந்த தீமைகளை வெல்ல நமக்கு உதவுகிறது. பூதனையும் அவளை அழித்ததும், நமக்குள் இருக்கும் அரக்கனை அழித்து, உன்னத குணங்கள், மன மற்றும் உடல் ஆரோக்கியத்தை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள உதவியது பற்றிய கதை இங்கே.

இந்த கோயில் திருவண்ணாமலையில் உள்ள அருணாச்சலேஸ்வரரின் கிரிவலப் பாதையில் உள்ளது. பக்தர்கள் கிரிவலத்தைத் தொடங்கி - மலையைச் சுற்றி - இங்கே சென்று வழிபாட்டை இங்கே முடிக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் சன்னதியிலிருந்து தீர்த்தத்தைப் பெற்று, நுழைவாயிலில் ஊற்றி, வழிபாட்டின் பலனை இறைவனுக்கே வழங்குகிறார்கள்.

ஸ்ரீ கருடனின் மீது அமர்ந்து இறைவன் தரிசனம் செய்கிறார். புரட்டாசி மாதத்தின் கடைசி சனிக்கிழமை (செப்டம்பர்-அக்டோபர்) ஒரு பை அரிசி சமைத்து சன்னதியின் முன் பரப்பி, பக்தர்களுக்கு பிரசாதமாக வழங்கப்படுகிறது. இறைவன் அளவில் மிகப் பெரியவர் என்பதால், அரிசியின் அளவும் பெரியது. கிருஷ்ண ஜெயந்தி அன்று, கிருஷ்ண ஜெயந்தி அன்று, ஏகாதசி, திருவோண நட்சத்திர நாட்கள் மற்றும் பௌர்ணமி நாட்களில் சிறப்பு திருமஞ்சனம் செய்யப்படுகிறது. பக்தர்கள் புதன்கிழமைகளில் சக்கரத்தாழ்வாருக்கு துளசி மாலைகளை இனிப்பு புட்டு நிவேதனத்துடன் சமர்ப்பிக்கிறார்கள்

தொலை பேசியில் பெயரை கூறி முன்பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும்.

ஓரளவு புண்ணிய ஆத்மாக்களுக்கு மட்டும் நாடி வழி அருளுரைக்கப்படும். நாடியில் எழுத்துக்கள் வந்தே ஆக வேண்டும் என்று கட்டாயம் கிடையாது. சிலருக்கு நாடி வழி செய்தி வராமலும் போவதுண்டு.

பவுர்ணமி மற்றும் பண்டிகை நாட்களில் நாடி வாசிக்கப்பட மாட்டாது. காலை 10am - 1pm மட்டும் நாடி வாசிக்கப்படும். நாடி வாசிக்கும் போது தாய், தந்தை, மனைவி, குழந்தைகள் ஆகியோர் அருகில் அமர்லாம். நண்பர்கள் மற்றும் பிற உறவினர்கள் வந்தால், உடன் அமர அனுமதி கிடையாது. வெளியே காத்திருக்க வேண்டும். மது, புகை, மாமிசம் ஆகியவற்றை 1-2 நாள் முன்னதாகவே தவிர்த்துவிட வேண்டும், இல்லையேல் விளைவுகள் விபரீதம்.

Jeeva Nadi will be read only if you make a reservation and come in person.

*Minimum fee Rs.1001*, a plate of betel nut, coconut, flowers, incense, and camphor should be served.

Reservations should be made by mentioning the name on the phone.

Only some pious souls will be blessed through Nadi. It is not mandatory that the letters should appear on the Nadi. Some people may not receive messages through Nadi.

Nadi will not be read on full moon and festival days. Nadi will be read only from 10am - 1pm. Mother, father, wife, and children can sit nearby while reading the Nadi. If friends and other relatives come, they are not allowed to sit with them. You have to wait outside. Alcohol, smoking, and meat should be avoided 1-2 days in advance, otherwise the consequences will be disastrous.

In the Nadi, your name, the deity you worship, family details, education details, and current problems will be mentioned. Then, the remedy will be given along with the method of worship by visiting 5-6 temples. They should be kept for three months and then come back and confirm the Nadi in the same manner.

The information that comes with the Nadi will be written in the book. Keep it safe and bring it when you come back.
